Higher Education Access for Myanmar Students

The goal of this project is to enhance access, retention, and academic success of Myanmar students pursuing higher education in Thailand through comprehensive financial, academic, and psychosocial support.

Political instability and ongoing conflict in Myanmar have disrupted the education system, displacing thousands of young people and limiting access to quality higher education. Many Myanmar students have sought refuge and academic opportunity in neighbouring Thailand, yet they often face significant barriers—financial hardship, language difficulties, lack of legal status, and limited support services.

These challenges threaten their academic success and long-term prospects. Investing in the education of these students not only empowers individuals but also contributes to the broader goals of peacebuilding, cross-border cooperation, and sustainable development.
