Thanks for taking a moment to catch up with what has been happening with our project partners in Myanmar, and how your support is making a real difference on the ground. Your partnership is important to us, and we’re grateful to have you alongside us in this work.

OUR PROJECTS

Project - Health for the Hidden (Karen State)

April was another busy month for our partner Earth Mission, treating people from the surrounding communities. PA and E-Tech students are getting into the routine of new year level lessons, and the PAs are taking greater responsibility as they do ward rounds with doctors. If you haven’t read the recent story of the miracle twin birth yet, you can read it here.

Project - Community Care (Yangon)

To celebrate Thingyan (Water Festival) the children made a variety of sweets which were then shared with a gathering of families. The children also had a chance to watch movies and play games. During April only 35 people needed to access the free clinic - numbers were down mainly due to the warmer weather.

END OF FINANCIAL YEAR CAMPAIGN

This year for our fundraising campaign we will be focusing on tiny lives. Every day, newborn babies in Myanmar are fighting to survive without adequate medical and post natal care. This EOFY, you can help change that. Your donation can provide urgent support in two areas: 1) for premature babies and those experiencing respiratory distress, and 2) support for new mothers.

Specifically we need to raise funds for a newborn CPAP machine which delivers a steady, gentle stream of air or oxygen into a baby's nose to keep their airways open and assist them with breathing. The cost of the machine is approximately $10,000AUD. If you would like to contribute to the cost of this you can do so here - just mention what it’s for.

We would also like to support the Mum and Baby Bag program that provides a new mother with essential items to help when she brings her new baby home. The cost of a bag, including transport into the jungle is $120. The QR code will make it easy to donate to this program.
